Pike's ghost

Andrew Mason · 25 Nov 2011, 23:12 · from 2011-November.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't see that; it seems to me that out-of-body travel is enough.
And out-of-body travel is certainly possible. It is indeed puzzling
why Oreb should be doing it at this moment, but it's also puzzling (I
think we agree) why he should be travelling in time. It would indeed
be odd if this were the only occasion of someone other than Mucor
doing it, so I'm hoping that other hidden cases may be found; but then
time-travel is also hidden, if it's present.
