This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. North or South--an interesting question. I've always pictured the=20
Commonwealth existing in what is now South America--though I had wondered=20
about the east/west problem. Still...if Urth cycles in and out of a=20
technological civilzation in the meantime, who knows what changes mankind=20
will wreak on the continents?

At any rate, I'm not extremely entrenched in my position on this question.

I'm curious though...this idea of the magnetic poles "flipping" -- was this=20
hinted at in the book itself? Where did the theory come from?
