This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

That's correct, but Sev affirmitively writes that he was sitting. the
revision is in what he is sitting on, but not that he is sitting at all.
Stepladders are mostly higher than high stools, so in order to maintain
similar appearnces, the person on the stepladder needs to be taller than
average in similar proportion.

If Rudesind is sitting on a stepladder smaller than a high stool, that
indicates to me that he is trying to clean an area of canvas lower down
than usual, and is doing so to avoid stooping. this also is sometihng
that a taller person than average would be given to do since they have
all the farther to stoop.
