This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Heh, funny. I am always described as the fair and unflappable peacemaker.

Oh it IS weird and creepy. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. "Let's
just talk about Wolfe" sounds so simple and easy. But, obviously it isn't and
it hasn't been from the beginning, some 15 years ago.

Perhaps I should elaborate that my goals are not really for the group as a whole
but more selfish and self-serving. There were a number of very intelligent,
insightful, well-read contributors here who seemed chased away by a certain cadre
of enforcers. I really wanted to be able to interact with them. Some are gone
forever I guess, but I've really really appreciated what I've learned from those
guys who came back.
