S&S vs. SF in BotNS

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. What powers of Mucor are you saying are magic?  The Whorl gods? possession of people is explicitly glossed as technology rather than magic, and that surely also involves the soul.  Do chems have souls?  One imagines so, and Mucor doesn?t mistake Quetzal for one.  Yet their soul presumably starts off as a computer program.
I don?t think souls are magic in Long Sun / Short Sun.
