This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

(Technical aside: that last paragraph is what is called in alchemy a "retor=

Doh!  Er, I mean, "I meant you were rolling your eyes at how very
commonplace and obvious the topic was!" <g>

(This is an example of the fabled "weak force," a masking companion for the
fabled element Chagrinium.)

I won't be writing an essay on the subject (alchemy in/of/on Urth) anytime
soon, since I've sworn off essays for a while (with the exception of things
that I've already promised).  And it would take an essay to me to figure
out if it was really there or not.

Completely off topic: I've seen a new movie called "Being John Malkovich"
and I recommend it.
