Two More Arrivals

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Greetings:

The filling back in of missing Wolfe volumes continued today with the
arrival of the Tor/Orb TPB of THE ISLAND OF DOCTOR DEATH AND OTHER STORIES
AND OTHER STORIES and the HC (first edition, first printing) of PEACE.

PEACE did not age well in terms of the dustjacket. I had a paperback and it
was white with the raised lettering and it got dirty, just from reading,
fast. This one (I assume) was a white dustjacket at one point with raised
lettering. Now it is a brown dustjacket (yellowing due to acid in the
paper?). The interior is brand-spanking new looking!

More volumes on the way. The gaps will be filled, soon.
