This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Intended or not, I'll take your word "community" to be the community of 
prisoners and staff within a prison. I agree that it wouldn't be so 
terribly difficult to arrange daily safe contact with specially trained
(and protected) staff members.

As per my conversation with Antonio, I think treating even the worst of
society in a humane manner is good not only for itself, but because it
has a positive effect on society as a whole, outside the prison walls.
