This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Regarding Question # 1:

When Severian is talking with Rudesind in chapter V of TSOTT, they mention=20
the theory that Vodalus might hiding "in the forests of Lune." That this=20
suggestion is even made suggests that it is, in fact, possible for an Urth=20
exultant to hide in the forests of Lune; Rudesind's comment that if Vodalus=20
in on Lune, it may be a while before the Autarch catches him--seems to=20
suggest that travel from Urth to Lune is difficult...at least to the point=20
at which you have trouble landing large search parties there.

That's one possible reading, anyway.

Question #2--I have no idea about this one.
