This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'll give it a shot. Nutria's suggestion about Sev's ho-hum career as
Conciliator being remembered because it reminded humanity of an earlier and
considerably more significant Conciliator seems relevant here--I've argued
before that Severian's "non-tech" miracles that the hieros are impressed by
are possible because Sev. is, in some weird way, like Silk, an apostolic
figure--not in the original sense of being a witness to the resurrection, b=

something like that. The Increate/Outsider is granting this power, and the
New Testament letters are full of statements that post-Penecost, the apostl=

Oh, BTW, William -- how about Vodalus =3D Sir Roderick Spode?
