This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. Peritonitis, exactly. It need not have any meaning. It only needs to be 
an organizing principle.

Your mention of fruit reminds me that the yeast that converts grapes to 
wine grows on the skin of the grape. Other fruits as well.
