This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

	Dunno. But, Satan is frozen in a block of ice, as I recall. Mebbe old
Erebus is in some similar state: immobile, and operating through agents.
	As to the league with Abaia, I dunno. Frankly, the three times I read
Severian were years ago, and I really need to reread them in the light of
all the kinds of things other people have called attention to. I'm really
an observer when it comes to the Abaia-Erebus business, for I did not read
with that question in mind.
