Thecla's "Identity"

Marc Aramini · 05 Apr 2013, 18:26 · from 2013-April.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Let us rephrase that, shall we? How religion affected the masses.

The enmity between communism and Christianity has always been a bit of a mystery to me, though i suppose it is the concept of heavenly remuneration that sticks in the craw of those seeking equal disbursement of resources; conversely, I had supposed a fascist would like the mechanisms of control over the populace widespread faith would give one to exploit right from the get go, unless that faith were simply too difficult to subvert to individualized aims.
