This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. But it can work. There are commensal worms, and mutualistic worms.
They may not be as famous as the partnership between nitrogen-fixing
bacteria and plant roots, but they exist. We all know of earthworms,
and in a broader sense, worms can help the plant ecosystem by breaking
down things (eg. borers and dead wood).
