This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. ? Well...then it sounds like we are in agreement. The worlds of 5HoC are like Urth
but without a Severian, or B, F and O or Tzadkiel or Yesod. Degenerating with no
hope of reprieve.

I still think Gene Wolfe's worldview showed increased positivity from his writing in
the 70's as it progressed to the present. We could argue that it was a reflection of
his continued rise to prominence and acclaim. Or his movement from the dreary world of
mechanical engineering to the artistic heights of being a successful author. 
Or we could hypothesize about his increasing belief in the uplifting power of angels.
Or maybe all of them.
