This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

It's possible Wolfe was recalling the model in Blish's _Jack of Eagles_, where the "single" main timeline we perceive which is actually a superposition dominated by the most likely histories. So it's not quite what I think of as a "full" many worlds where all outcomes are equally real, and any actions you perform are reversed in the other branch. MINOR SPOILER Like Master Ash, there is one episode where a component timeline fades as its probability falls, as a result of actions of the protagonist that cause the whole ensemble to shift in his favoured direction.
