Short Story 49: Westwind

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I haven't read the story, but it sounds like organised religion.

As for connections to other stories, the appearance of God on a screen is 
surely reminiscent of Book of the Short Sun!  I think quite a few things 
that appear in Wolfe's later long works start as ideas that are used in 
earlier short fiction.  For example, as I've mentioned before, the tall 
exultants in BotNS remind me of the ruling class in Silhouette.
