Baldanders' dream

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

We all know how sev's dream of the little boy with a sword fighting the
wooden man with a cudgel parallels what happens in the story, including
flooding and the breaking of terminus est in a fight with Baldanders, but
Baldanders has a dream, too - of caverns below with stone teeth dripping
blood - of arms dismembered found on sanded paths and shaking chains in the
dark, and attributes this to Severian being next to him.

Sounds like what sleeps in the mines at saltus waking up. Perhaps Severian
brings this thing to life, too.
