This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

A very ambiguous > mystical description. It seems to me that *something* came back, but (like Domnina's friend) it was not exactly her cat, and it held on to a piece of her soul somehow. My first thought was that it needed that to keep it on Urth, but that doesn't really work, as somehow it attached itself to Leocadia, by way of the unremovable pawprint on the counterpane. One other thing: in old age Sancha developed a disagreeable odour, which she countered by burning sandalwood. Any significance? - Gerry Quinn
