This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Just finished ?The Tree is My Hat?.  Didn?t find anything about it in the archive.  The main character is named Baden and called ?Bad? for short.  I?m pretty sure he breaks all ten of the commandments, though I only caught seven on my first reading, and while he comes to a bad end, he acts selflessly at the last.

Wolfe seems to like writing about bad protagonists.
