Short Story 117: Read Me

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Sure - in claw of the conciliator when jonas and sev are taken to the
antechamber where people spend their whole lives waiting for sentencing,
jonas starts quoting carroll about the knight sliding up the poker or
something. I mention it in the Cat short story writeup as well i think ...
even alluding to the cat as something like the chesire variety. The
mirrors of inire attain a quality like the looking glass in that scene as
well, i think. Clearly jonas has read lewis carroll.
