This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I went there and the discussion prompted me to look
for a similar word in a Portuguese dictionary (since
Portuguese is a Latin-derived language, it seemed a
good try).=20

So, here it is: in Portuguese there's the word
"=C3=A1scio",  meaning "He who lives in the torrid zone,
where, at noon, the there's no shadows produced by the
Sun". The given root is the Latin word "ascios".
