Burns redeems himself

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

The Orb covers are cropped versions of the original Simon and
Schuster/Pocket editions by Don Maitz. I have always disliked Maitz's cover
for _Citadel_ and regret seeing it return on the Orb _Sword and Citadel_,
but I have always loved his cover for _Shadow of the Torturer_ and am glad
to see it used on the Orb _Shadow and Claw_.=20

Tastes differ.

My favorite Wolfe cover is the Gollanz hc edition of _Free Live Free_.
Unfortunately, it's a cover for Tom Disch's _On Wings of Song_ which found
its way on to the wrong book.=20
