GWOT timelines

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Well yes, "or nearly so." Sure. Certainly a lot closer to OS than the CC
situation, that's obvious. But John Crowley is building up his timelines
with these bitty little details, and unless you yourself have cracked the
encyclopedia, I don't know that you know that in R101 crashed in OS 1930
and in C2 1935 (or thereabouts). Is this one, tiny detail enough? Hard to
say, maybe. But it is a difference that JC has signalled, however
obscurely.
