This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. I re-read _Little, Big_ recently and quite carefully too, I might=20
add, but I missed this completely. An excellent catch.

And it nicely explains why Crowley reveals Smoky's real first name=20
(however briefly) while keeping mum about what his middle initial=20
stands for. I was wondering about that! Thank you.
