This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Still writing my paper for the symposium and another=20
question has occured to me that I don't really know the=20
answer to (although I have some ideas).

Basically its this; What would you guys say is GW's=20
political stance? What is he, where is he coming from?
Obviously he is not particularly left wing ('Particularly'=20
is probably too tame a word, now that I think about it),=20
but would you say that he is right, or rebublican or=20
democrat or what, really?At the moemtn I only really know=20
what he is against, not what he is for.

Also, how do you feel about the antipathy expressed towards=20
Vodalus intentions - to send man to the stars again. Is=20
Vodalus problem that his method is suspect, or is Sev (or=20
GW himself) being completely negative about man's=20
technology and space travel? I appreciate the 'bringing=20
original sin to other worlds' argument, and the 'quest for=20
balance' reading of the novel (which I tend to agree with),=20
but nevertheless I find this desire not to succeed or=20
achieve wierd. I can see that Vodalus intentions inevitably=20
contradict the idea of acheiving balance between the=20
natural (mythic, folkloric, etc) and the technological that=20
Cyraicia talks about, but I am interested in how people=20
think this works in relation to the rest of the work.=20
