Gurloes

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Several things, one: Thanks for all the input about GW's=20
politics.

Two: This is probably one of the more wacky theories put=20
forward, and I havent got my copy of the book in front of=20
me to check this, but has anyone noticed the similarities=20
between Gurloes and the Autarch? The passage where Gurloes=20
is described, which paints him as one of the most=20
intriguing minor figures of the book, talks about his=20
mannerisms and particularly bright eyes. When Sev then goes=20
to the house Azure, his description of the Autarch is=20
basically the same - and he mentions something about=20
recognising the mannerisms, but being unable to place them.=20
Is it Gurloes who later has to use the prosthetic phallus,=20
or is that Palaemon ?=20
Just a thought.
