This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Industrial facilities. Before he retired to become a full-time writer in
the 1980s, Wolfe was a "food engineer" for Proctor and Gamble and then a
staff writer for PE. One of Wolfe's PE articles--a vocabulary for
robotics--is reprinted in his Boskone book, _Plan[e]t Engineering_; his
background shows through in things like the lecture about tallus design in
_Exodus from the Long Sun_.=20
