This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

There now, you see, this is precisely the sort of thing that gives me
confidence: I had no idea that the word geimhreadh actually meant
=E2=80=98winter=E2=80=99. I was under the impression that King G=E2=80=99s =
name was one of the
particulars of the novel we hadn=E2=80=99t been able to solve. But I still =
knew
that he =E2=80=93represented=E2=80=93 Winter because of the context. (He=E2=
=80=99s old, he=E2=80=99s a
king, he kills the Green Man, etc.)

It is years since I read Castleview, and while I feel I could at least
answer some of these questions, the sensible thing to do would be to
make sure I=E2=80=99ve got my facts straight first. I hereby bump Castlevie=
w to
the top of my reading list.
