This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Since the director's cut neatly resolved the issue of whether deckerd is a
replicant or not, I guess the Wolfe-related question is, is Severian a
replicant?

What *is* up with the Severian/homoncluous/mandrake in a bottle tyhat
severian considers his brother or something? I've usually found that to be
confusing. Mantis seems to have had some thoughts on it...
