This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Okay... Having now reread CASTLEVIEW under somewhat better
circumstances (i.e., at home, not lacking massive quantities
of sleep, etc.), I'm still puzzled by the puzzlement. In=20
some ways, this seems to be one of the most straightforward=20
things GW has written -- an account of some mortals caught=20
up in the affairs of Faerie, one of whom turns out to be
the brother of the Faerie Queen. Most of the "Huh? What's
going on here" sequences strike me as (in retrospect)=20
glamours -- mortals facing faeries see a combination of what
they expect and what the faeries want them to see. The only=20
major puzzles I think left by the book's ending are whether=20
certain characters are mortal or fay.

So what's the problem here?
