The Green Hills of Urth

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I was contemplating the technology used to make and keep Lune green and
forested and wondered, why couldn't the same effect be used to renew
Urth, instead of involving the White Fountain and flooding and earth
quakes and such? (of course, it would be a much shorter book that way
:)

Has anyone found mention of how Lune was terraformed? Some giant,
lunar-sized Bracelet of Air? It does seem odd that Lune remains green
while the vegetation on Urth is dying.
