This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. This video was shown at Readercon a year ago.  I knew nothing about=20
Gormenghast, but decided to check it out, and thought it was excellent.

I find that most movies based on books are horrible, and that the screen=20
writers need to show some creativity and write their OWN stories, instead o=
f=20
shredding the written stories we love.  When I finally read the Gormenghast=20
books, will this film fall into the same disappointing group of films as,=20
say, Starship Troopers?

BTW, The Part One of Gormenghast was on last night, and I taped it.  Part=20
Two is on tonight!
