This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Sorry if this is a tired old subject, but I'm new to the list.=20

I assumed that the narrator of Return to the world ( aside from the editors=
)=20
was an amalgam of the minds and souls of Horn and Silk- similar to the=20
combination of Rose and Marble after Rose's physical death. I understand th=
at=20
Marble is a synthetic being, but I feel that Wolfe advances a kind of "Blad=
e=20
Runner/ A.I." type ghost in the machine philosophy with Marble and her=20
daughter.  Couldn't the narrator be a composite like soul with Silk asserti=
ng=20
predominance at the close of Return?
