Pratchett and Wolfe

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Having seen lots of praise for Pratchett on the internet, I gave "Small
Gods" a try but found it so hamhanded and unfunny that I could barely skim
it.  I flipped around reading a few pages here, there, and at the end, but
couldn't find anything I liked.   Do you think there's a chance I'd like
any of his other books, or is Small Gods pretty representative?

off-topic for the Wolfe list)
