This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is

Hello, and are Urth and The Whorl still turning?
Recently INERZONE published an essay by Gene Wolfe, explaining what The Lord
Of The Rings meant to him.
I was very impressed by Wolfe's words, and I purchased from him the right to
display the essay on my own website.
I am foolish enough to believe that the essay says some important things
about Tolkien's work. At any rate it moved me deeply.
