This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Jerry, Joe has recently cross-referenced the two appearances of the "Green=20
Mankiller" that appears once towards the end of In Green's Jungles and brie=
fly=20
in Return to the Whorl.  His comments are somewhere in the recent posts.  W=

they skirt a swamp, the narrator says he can feel a two tusked green monste=

lurking for him, with tusks as big as his wrists.  It comes up again later.=

At first I was sure he was talking about Babbie, but that didn't pan out wi=

my later theories.  The dripping teeth of Triskele, who shows up at the end=

Return to the Whorl made gave me the association, but "friend" does tend to=20
