An IGJ question

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Remember in _Nightside_ where couple fried tomatoes, and apple, and a crust of bread are a mouth-watering feast? That was when he was a poor priest, but it's possible he continued to eat lightly and fast regularly even when he was Calde and later when he lived with Hyacinth. Eat that way for years and then suddenly start trying to eat like Horn was accustomed, and you'll get pretty sick. Also note we only start hearing about the food in IGJ, not OBW (not sure if it's mentioned in the Whorl scenes of RTW, which I'm just starting to re-read now). Which to me indicates it might also be evidence of parts of Silk's personality slowly re-asserting themselves. "What have I been thinking eating like this?" I agree that Incanto's words, "beware those who don't eat much," seem like they must be connected. But no inhumi could hold a pen and write in neat tiny letters as Incanto does, so that can't be it. Perhaps the connection is that, like the inhumi, Incanto is not who he seems to be. Except, he is. -Rostrum --=20
