Digest from urth@urth.net

Seth Lombardi · 15 Feb 2002, 22:01 · from urth-v0202.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't have the text in front of me, but I seem to remember in one of the=20
twin's accounts of the whole boat/astral travel section at the end of RTW,=20
"Father" raising a container of wine to his lips. This results in a=20
narrative comment from the twin that "Father" often seemed to only PRETENDE=

to eat or drink.
Which suggests something more sinister is going on. Not that I know what it=20
is, other than extremely infuriating and disturbing! :P
