Wolfe filk from Wolfe folk

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

My dear Mantis,

Actually, Wolfe's work doesn't in general seem all that amenable to=20
filkification, but really that should be perceived as a challenge.=20

If nothing else, I'm amazed that nobody has yet written anything using=20
the obvious natural pun (like unto Yankovic's "this here Anakin guy")=20
"the dawning of the Age of Severian." But I don't think I will.
