This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I didn't take any notes in reading the Short Sun books, alas.  (Or hooray.)
So I don't remember.  I remember the discussion we were having around here
as each book came out, and I thought that at one thread more than one
person was agreeing with a sense of "fly lie" . . . I know I brought up the
"limited teleporation" notion at least once . . . the scenes in the text
had to do with N questioning an inhumu/a about the whole process, and s/he
(probably she; so it was probably in IGJ rather than RTTW) became coy and
evasive as he pressed harder.

Maybe this thread would show up in a search of the archives.  Sorry I can't
be of more help!
