This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

A note for the _Lexicon_, if you haven't gotten it before:  When
Severian is told (at the House Absolute) that Dr. Talos and his company
are in the Green Room, they are taking part in a tradition that goes
back to our time and before.  In theatrical parlance, the Green Room is
the room (regardless of color) in which the actors wait before going on
stage.

Severian's surprise that it isn't a room at all can therefore be
excused.
