This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I like the way you linked 5th Head with the Sun books. Even though I've read half-a-dozen similar retrospectives of Wolfe's work, this one seemed quite fresh with many orignial and interesting points and emphases. I think the only thing lacking might have been a little more about good Wolfe's prose is. I always enjoy reading him even when I haven't figured out what's going on in the plot. But overall, a great article. Ought to spur at least a few people to give Wolfe a try. Thanks! -Rostrum --=20
