5HC: Shadow Children in the Lupiverse?

Tony Ellis · 21 Apr 2002, 08:58 · from urth-v0204.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

And prion, very commendably, includes his own refutation of the idea. He
says that there are too many holes and that it requires adding too much to
the story, and I agree.

The dimly remembered ancestral home described in 5HC has a yellow sun and an
Earth name. And appears, in any case, to have been telepathically lifted by
the Shadow Children from the minds of passing starcrosser crews. And there's
no dim memory at all of people ever leaving St Anne - only of them arriving.

If there's any actual evidence in 5HC to back up this theory I'm genuinely
interested to hear it - but I can't think of any.
