This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. As Jack Vance is and was a major unfluence on GW, the
idea in 5HC of prehistoric human migrations from Earth
to other worlds may have been picked up, in part, from
certain Vance novels of the Sixties: THE STAR KING,
SPACE OPERA, and the Tschai series. However
implausible the concept, Vance used it repeatedly.
