Lupine Humor: A Challenge

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't know if it's intended as a joke, but one of my favorite=20
such "squinty" moments is in ON BLUE'S WATERS when Horn tells us that there=20
was rumored to be a third book written about Silk (apart from Horn and=20
Nettle's book and the book written by Scleroderma).  He tells us it was=20
written by a man in Urbasecundus.

Urbasecundus, of course, meaning "Second City".  Do you know anybody who's=20
written a book about Silk and that hails from Chicago, which is also called=20
the "Second City"?

I'm also fond of the dig at Hartwell (I think?) at the end of EXODUS FROM=20
THE LONG SUN...the reference to "Starcrosser's Landfall".
