Lupine Humor: A Challenge

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Huh. And I took it as more of a dig at Lisa -- because she's right as
far as she goes, but Wolfe is enough of an engineer to know that "they
draw in more cold air than they warm" is actually true for a house with=20
any kind of central heating ... having an open fire in one room of the
house can actually way raise your heating bill. (The best solution is a=20
sealed fireplace with a passive or active heat-return system, which we
actually have in our house, but that's getting way off topic...)
