Lupine Humor: A Challenge

Nigel Price · 07 May 2002, 11:51 · from urth-v0205.mbox · original

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

You've got me uncertain now.

I'd always assumed that Marble said something like, "That Chem must have
eyes in the back of her head!"

Or did you think that a somewhat more robust sentiment had been expressed?

Nigel (busy trying to remember the funny bits, of which he knows there are
many although he cannot now recall a single one - he was very interested in
that business of the way open fires work, though)
