This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Well hmmm. It seems as certain as his forgery of THE NECRONOMICON and his forgery of Kate's diary. As Adam Stephanides noted before, it is a big pointer to the nature of Gold's bookstore as a place of books so rare as to be impossible: the rising music which crescendos a few pages later around the more famous and unspoken NECRONOMICON. (Still hunting for another source to that wonderful "Venus di Milo" story! So haunting, since I all-but-swore that I'd seen it before, somewhere, just before reading PEACE . . . ) =3Dmantis=3D SIRIUS FICTION booklets on Gene Wolfe, John Crowley Lexicon Urthus out of print! http://www.siriusfiction.com/ --=20
