Nicholls on _Fifth Head_: where?

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. In _Strokes_, John Clute wrote "it wasn't until ... Peter Nicholls wrote
an essay on [_TFHoC_] for an American compendium that the full plot and
thematic integrity of that savage novel began to come clear."  Does
anyone know where this essay can be found?
